Wow, it has been such a long time since I last posted anything in blog land. Somehow life just got too busy too fast.... And being over 8 months pregnant might have a little something to do with it :) I have still been sewing like crazy... Though I am still working on the store... which... is now closed due to a total overhaul. I have moved completely away from selling used resell type outfits to carving out my own little niche in the retail designer world. I call my creations LiLMoo Designs.... here is a long overdue sample of some of my most recent creations.... I can't seem to sew fast enough to keep up.... guess I better get the hang of it soon.... This little peanut who is due soon to make her appearance into the world will only further complicate things :)

Giveaways and promos...

So much to sew... so little time. I've created a few new items... just a few that is... 10 or 30 or so... :)
And I am working on promoting my creations via several ways. I've opted to outfit a few little girls... pro bono of course... I'm working on flyers to send out with a discount code for friends and family and my eBay customers! And last, but not least, I have been toying with the idea of a giveaway.... Not sure if I will yet... but I do think it would be a fun way to promote! I've got tonnes of outfits in the works... but here is a sneak peak at my most recent favorites... Don't forget to pop into the store and check out my newest additions!

and another .com was born...
I've been super busy perfecting my creations! It's a labor of love :) Here are a few of my newest creations and I am happy to say I have finally purchased my very own domain..... littlemissmaddimoo.com and I'm even happier to say that traffic has blossomed. It's much easier to direct people to a short .com domain than using the super long auctiva domain.... not so much to type in and much easier to find. I will be spending this weekend creating a beautiful summer collection of pillowcase dresses, but not your average pillowcase dress... lots of ruffles and appliques... and ribbon... so stay tuned! Sales through eBay have been fantastic... though the fees keep climbing.... so I will also spend the upcoming weeks focusing on local advertising. :) It's been such an amazing journey with so much work to do :) Well... my sewing machine is calling my name... :)

Fit for a Princess...
I've been super busy... and neglectful of this blog of mine... Almost all of my very first additions to my spring collection have sold... though no traffic through the store via purchases as of yet... I think I need to submit to some more search engines and spend some more time advertising locally. I've been apprehensive as I can't seem to keep my creations stocked in the store since I have listed most of them on eBay. eBay is probablly the best form of advertising you can ask for with such a vast audience offering quick sales. However the fees are always increasing and I would really like to move away from it... but easier said than done! It's so hard to say no to fast sales at competetive pricing. My goal for this month is to increase my advertising and keep only a very select number of products on eBay in hopes to bring in some traffic to the store!
It's been a very busy month... lots of sewing and lots of shipping to my wonderful eBay customers! But most importantly I've designed my own label for my custom made clothing....
Here's a sneak peak...
I'm calling this new line Fit for a Princess.... I'm in love with each and every one of them and am sure they will be cherished by a princess of their own :) They are all currently listed on eBay however can also be purchased a my store for those not wanting to bid. I am keeping my prices comparable and have made each one with complete love!

Coming soon...
As a young girl... I always loved to sew... Home ec... was my favorite class and I can still recall having a hard time sticking to the specific cirriculum as I dreamed of making my own creations. And as an adult, it has once again become my passion... my daughter is my inspiration. I try to create and recreate things I know she would love to wear. In a nutshell, its all about ruffles, frills, Dora, and Princess. If it's pink or purple she loves it. If it twirls she won't hesitate to put it on. I have been working on some pretty stinkin cute creations which I will be posting shortly... Some very cute Spring Summer both new, and upcycled recreations..... so stay tuned...

Upcycling...Environmental Movement...
What is Upcycling?
Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.
Upcycled clothing represents a new trend promoted by those interested in leading a more sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle. It is a way of reusing old clothes through new and unique creations.
At Little Miss MaddiMoo Boutique we are committed to offering our customers the choice to contribute to maintaining a sustainable environment by providing a large array of upcycled children's clothing items.
We are really passionate about this new fashion trend and what could be more rewarding than transforming old, dull clothes into new, fashionable ones? When we create our items, we work hard to create the most unique and beautiful items. Mixing different fabrics, fibers, and colors, to create a unique item especially made for our buyers.
Because more people are growing concerned with the climate change and prefer eco-friendly products, the popularity of upcycled clothes is increasing as we speak.
We are busy making new creations everyday, though if you have something in mind feel free to contact us and we will do our best to customize one of our upcylced creations just for you!

Sustainable Creations... Upcycling Style!
My newest creations... I have always adored the pillowcase creation so decided to create a few of my own! I started with this first one, which is a combination of New and Old... which I have recently discovered is referred to as 'Upcycling'. I don't know why it took so long for me to come across this but what an amazing concept! For those of you not familiar with this term, it is a very eco friendly movement to reduce the amount of waste in the world, transforming old, less desirable items, into new and fabulous ones! I LOVE this concept and fits perfectly into what I have been doing! I like to call it sustainable sewing! I made this super cute Winnie the Pooh pillowcase dress then paired it with a pair of upcycled Old Navy Pants! Super cute set. Then I decided to make a few of my very own creations, starting from scratch. Below you will see 3 very cute Pillowcase dresses, Princess theme, Bratz Girl theme, and last but not least, the Tweetie Bird with beautiful satin trim detailing! Did I mention I love to sew?

Diva wear!
New fun stuff just added! I am amazed at how much the world of fabric has evolved. I made some amazing finds in the fabric store... and of course came home with far more than I had planned on! And then spent many hours sewing some new and fabulous creations! I've listed a few of them on EBay, but have decided to considerably downsize my listings as the fees due tend to build up fast. I just realized that every time an item cycles past the 30 days, every time it relists automatically I am re charged... bleh... My goal is to keep things listed on Ebay in auction format, a minimum of 20 items I will keep posted as auctions, and then keep the rest in my webstore. Unfortunately with the rising costs of EBay and Paypal it is far more beneficial to keep my store stocked rather than constantly relist. So I have decided to take some feature items kept in the store, and put them up for auction. Traffic to the store has increased dramatically and for that I am greatful. I didn't realize there were so many forms of advertising online.... free at that! So I have been busy finding ways to put myself out there! I have decided to list a flat rate of shipping and finally figured out how to customize my own links on the store page! The world of web design is fatiguing... this is for sure... but I have to say, figuring it out for yourself is very rewarding! I think my next step will be to start spreading word locally to mom's I know... maybe even host some open houses and invite some of the mom's over to view the clothing in real time : ) But that will mean some serious organizing.... and price tagging... oh joy : ) Wish me luck : ) Here are a few of the designs I have come up with... or shall I say 're designs'... I've used some more pre existing jeans and made them into true diva wear!
18-24M set... Old Navy Top, and Jeans by Please Mum... ruffles...by me : )
size 6 jeans by Old Navy... satin ruffles I added
My favorite fabric... heart ruffles, with tulle hemline, and polka dot ribbon trim... These are also Old Navy Jeans... I find them to be an awesome fit, very true to size : )
Who doesn't love some white chiffon ruffles : ) Old Navy Jeans size 6.. CUTEST! Have these listed on Ebay... watchers galore !
In a word... GORGEOUS! I am very happy with how these size 6 Children's Place jeans turned out! Tulle galore, and beautiful fabric with polka dots and diamond print!
